My wife and I have our own savings so that anyone of us can deposit our savings in the bank individually. We didn’t make it a joint account because we agreed to each other who can save more money will win a treat each end of the month. Of course I always win and I even transfer my balance to her account. There is no balance transfer fee on our account and it’s an advantage to us that we are not charged a fee every time I transfer my savings to her account.
